About this Hotel

'Hood On the edge of posh Pacific Heights, a hilltop district with graceful Victorian homes and killer city views. The hotel is a short drive from Golden Gate Park.

The Vibe True to its name, the Queen Anne has the trappings of a period piece: ornate Victorian furnishings and a lobby done in burgundy and gold. It feels like you're in a Merchant Ivory production.

Rooms All 48 were refurbished in early 2009 with new carpets, bedding, furnishings—the works. Some deluxe rooms feature breakfast nooks, canopy beds, and working fireplaces (the hotel provides the wood).

Plus Complimentary tea and sherry, served each afternoon in the salon, adds an element of trapped-in-time refinement.

Minus An old-time style that isn't for everyone, and a few quirks that come with being a historic building.
