'Hood West End, home to many of central London's top tourist areas. The hotel is in the heart of the theater district, a block from the Thames River, 600 feet from the Covent Garden market, and down the street from Trafalgar Square.

The Gist Primarily a business hotel, Strand Palace offers full-service amenities, including a pair of restaurants and 24-hour room service. Retaining its 1909 facade, this nine-story structure was recently renovated inside. Its marble-clad lobby is now furnished with leather sofas and tropical plants. Its 785 guest rooms include plasma TV screens. Rooms come in a range of sizes, from singles to suites. Online reviews say that the full English breakfast—included in the room rate—is "a must" as it features "eggs, bangers-and-mash, and fresh fruits and pastries." Rooms facing the high-traffic Strand on one side of the hotel may be noisy.
