'Hood The heart of London—glimpse Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament as you walk out the hotel's front door. Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace are about 10 minutes away by foot.

The Vibe Classic London: This tall, late-Victorian brick building has flower-filled window boxes outside, crystal chandeliers inside, and a traditional pub downstairs serving British ales.

Rooms Recently refurbished, the 34 rooms are spacious by central London standards and decorated in a traditional English style (think wingback chairs, plaid accents, and floral-patterned curtains). The quietest rooms are toward the back—especially 503, 502, and 407.
