It's a little-known policy that some airlines—Alaska, JetBlue, Southwest, United, and US Airways—offer vouchers for the full price difference when the fare drops after you buy a ticket. In most cases, you can get a flight voucher if a sale is announced and prices drop below the fare you paid for the same class of service. A new website, yapta.com, offers a free service to track fares after you've bought tickets, and also lets you search for fares in advance. read post

When you have a family of six and you're on a road trip, snacks are crucial. On one trip, we ran out of munchies—all that was left was a head of lettuce. I broke off large handfuls and passed them out. To our surprise, the kids all loved crunching on them! It's a new way to get some veggies into everyone, it doesn't make as much of a mess as chips, and it doesn't leave us thirsty.
