Trip Details The Infinte South America cruise package begins with a flight to Buenos Aires on an American Airlines or LAN Chile carrier. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to the port to board the 2,046-passenger, Infinity for the 14-night voyage from the Argentine capital to Valparaíso, Chile. (There are seven daylong stops along the way.) You'll stay in an inside stateroom; add $300 per person to upgrade to an outside cabin or $500 per person for a room with a balcony.

Passengers can get pampered at Aquaspa, stroll through the ship's conservatory—a botanical garden with a collection by the floral designer Emilio Robba—or dine at the SS United States restaurant. An expansive library and an Internet café will also be at your disposal.

The first two ports of call are in Uruguay: the capital, Montevideo, followed by Punta del Este, a glam resort area with miles of beaches.

The ship docks next in Puerto Madryn, a city in the region of Patagonia, known for its varied wildlife and dramatic landscapes. You'll also have time to explore Ushuaia, one of the world's southernmost cities.

Sail on past Chile's Cape Horn, part of the Hermite Islands in the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, and Punta Arenas, a settlement on the Strait of Magellan.
